Monday, April 27 - The Minnesota Department of Health said on Sunday that state and local public-health officials are taking “aggressive steps” in response to the unusual strain of swine influenza that has been making people ill in Mexico and parts of the U.S.
Public health officials say the outbreak hasn’t shown up yet in L.A. County. They suspect it will. The county board of supervisors declared a public health emergency today to free up more resources in case of an outbreak. .
